Education:does it still exist?or is it only a term in a dictionary?

Education:the art of building
civilizations
Education is a very wide subject to write about,i'm sure that most of bloggers agree with me on that, but today i'm going to narrow it down to a specific subject according to what i see and believe, because after all, my writing should express my experiences in life about education, and how i relate to it,or at least what i think about it.
i believe that education is about raising future generations,it is so much more than learning about new subjects or new informations,in fact it is learning about life,it is our weapon to face the reality with logic and principles that keep us constantly on the right track.
Education starts at home, from the first words of a child, surrounding him with love and good manners and teach him about life, then it's time for him to to have more education at school, mingle with society, adapt to different situations and environments, and gain more experiences, all of this happens in the process of transforming that boy into a man.
what i meant to say by that is that good education can build great men,and therefore building great civilizations,if only our country would focus on nurturing young minds more than building new factories..or whatever, because making materials is so much easier and it doesn't last for long, but in the other hand having an educated generation would last forever as it passes it on to other generations, holding our identity..our history..and a great message that represents our legacy within it.
Education at schools:
As a student i see how education is in Algeria and i don't have to say that things are not going so well, for example:if we take a look around us,we can see that most of the students now days are studying to succeed not to actually learn..you see the problem here, the mean(way) became the purpose,we seek for grades,we do what ever it takes to do well at tests so much that we forget the real meaning behind the lessons, the brain became a sponge absorbing all kind of informations, but only to empty them later in a sheet of paper, that can't be right..?
maybe it became all about making money and providing a good living, which means that we rush during the whole process of education, because then what's the point?"any student would wonder"look what happened to all of those great minds around us,no jobs..nothing!so they start to see all these years of learning as a way to pass time until they're old enough to make money and that's what counts to them, and now i can go back to what i said about materials,it is all we care about now and that's why we're still in at the bottom rank of civilized countries.
by neglecting what this generation has to offer, they find themselves in front of a dead end after graduation, and eventually we loose the future of our country...
nobody wins...except the money makers

  1. Nobody wins indeed, we all seek for money by any mean possible, when once upon a time, teaching was a noble job that gives birth to geniuses and leaders and great messenger, it is today but a bus stop we all come out from the same way we got into, empty handed, empty minded.
